HOT DOG! Austintown Fourth of July parade watchers found themselves pleasantly surprised as members of the Tabernacle Evangelical Presbyterian Church passed out free hot dogs, soda and cold water. 'This has been a tradition of Tabernacle church body members for over 17 years,' said Lynn L. Smith, of the church. They handed out more than 750 hot dogs that hot July day. Bob Sine of Austintown, above, was there with his family and friends. From left to right are Sean Stewart, Michael Koerth, Daniel Robb and Brett Hofus. Sine, sitting in the chair, was the happy recipient of a hot dog.

LIONIZED LIONS: The Youngstown Lions Club had their installation of officers and directors on June 25. Past District Gov. Ted Filmore, above left, installed Jeanne E. Watson Antol as the incoming president. The other officers installed but not pictured were Heather Belgin, John Messenger and W. Brian Hughes, vice presidents; Diane Hardenbrook, treasurer; and John Getchy, secretary. Below, Hardenbrook received the Melvin E. Jones Fellow Award, which is given to a Lion who has been an outstanding member. It is one of the highest awards in Lionism, and very few people receive it. At right is Bob Booher, past district governor, who presented the award.
