Special to The Vindicator LEARN TO SKI: Beginners are invited to join the Good Times Ski and Snowboard Club on Jan. 9 for a Learn to Ski Day at Cockaigne Resort in western New York state. Sponsored by the club and the Ski Chalet, the trip is also open to experienced skiers and snowboarders. The bus will leave the Ski Chalet at 5:45 a.m., and make a pickup at 6 at the Wal-Mart on Elm Road. The trip will include a free lesson and a reception at the resort. The cost for the full day of activities is $59. Above are a number of skiers and snowboarders who are waiting to welcome participants in a day of winter fun on the slopes.
