New buildings, programs usher in 2015-16 school year

Tom Yazvac, Springfield schools superintendent, shows a kindergarten classroom in the new elementary school in the district. The nearly $12 million project to construct the school was made possible through state funding and local bond-issue funds approved by voters. The new school features many upgrades from the former school built in the 1920s.
