Girard Eagles to host fish dinner today

Girard Aerie Eagles 2172, 26 W. Wilson Ave., will host a fish dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. today. Cost is $8 and includes fish, french fries, coleslaw, bread and butter, coffee and cake.

Church committee to host golf scramble

The Trustee Ministry’s Special Project Committee of New Bethel Baptist Church will host its 15th annual golf scramble at 2 p.m. June 29 at Pine Lake Golf Course, 6233 W. Liberty St., Hubbard. Registration will take place from 1 to 2 p.m., there will be four-person teams and prizes for first, second and third place in each division. Cost is $70 per person and includes lunch and dinner, 18 holes with cart, and contest entries. Tee times are from 2 to 4:15.
