Nelsonville Fest returns with Death Cab, Staples

The Nelsonville Music Festival will return June 6-9 at Robbins Crossing, on the campus of Hocking College.

The highly rated festival, now in its 15th year, has a lineup led by headliners Death Cab for Cutie, Mavis Staples, Tyler Childers, The Breeders, The Wood Brothers, Mandolin Orange, Thee Oh Sees, Todd Snider, Allah-Las and dozens more.

In addition to four days of music on multiple stages, NMF also features children’s activities, artisan vendors, food, a beer garden and more. There is also has a free festival within the festival at the Boxcar Stage (wristbands are not required for entry).

The Nelsonville Music Festival also offers acres of land for camping, at an extra charge.

The festival is a production of Stuart’s Opera House, a historic theater in the Athens County town of Nelsonville.

Weekend passes, single day tickets, camping and more for all four days are on sale now at nelsonvillefest.org or by calling 740-753-1924.

Passes for all four days are $175 ($85 for teens, free for children 12 and under); the price will go up to $180 at the gate starting June 6. Single day tickets are $55 in advance ($65 at the gate) on June 6 and 9; $75 ( $85) June 7; and $90 ($100) June 8.
