Girls track team places second at Austintown

The Boardman High School girls varsity track team finished in second place at Austintown Fitch High School on April 30.

The Lady Spartans dropped the season finale to Fitch 84-53.

Lady Spartans finishing in first place on the evening included the 4x800 relay of Jordan Solmen, Julia Gorby, Sophia McGee and Hannah Ryan (10:55.0); Raegan Burkey in the 400 (60.7); Emily Carnahan in the discus (95-11) and the 4x400 relay of Bella Alvarico, Raegan Burkey, Julia Schrembeck and Bailey Moore (4:18.5).

Lady Spartans with second place finishes included Keimanni Boyd in the 100 hurdles, Gorby in the 1600; Haley Ho in high jump; Carnahan in the shot put; Solmen in the 300 hurdles; Isabelle Dwyer in the 800; Kennedy Page in long jump and Macy Potts in the 3200.

Lady Spartans scoring in the third and final spot included Destinee Hayes in the 100 and 200; Sophia McGee in the 1600; Ryliegh Neill in the high jump; Emma Tokarsky in the 400; Annia Robles in the shot put; Gracie Beil in long jump; Gina Gabriele in the 3200 and Kenzie Widrig in the pole vault.
