Girls track and field wins All American Conference

The Boardman High School girls varsity track and field team finished in first place at the All-American Conference Meet on May 7.

The Lady Spartans clinched their third AAC Championship at Fitch Falcon Stadium with 147 points. The ladies scored in all 17 events on the evening.

First Team All-Conference performers were Raegan Burkey in the 1600 (5:22.17) and 800 (2:24.71); the 4x200 relay team of Julia Shrembeck, Emma Tokarsky, Destinee Hayes and Bella Alvarico won in a season best 1:48.92 and the 4x400 relay of Shrembeck, Tokarsky, Salina Jackson and Raegan Burkey won in a season best 4:12.48.

Second Team All-Conference performers were the 4x800 relay of Bailey Moore, Gina Gabriele, Isabelle Dwyer and Alayna Cuevas; Emily Carnahan in shot put; Tokarsky in the 400; Kaylin Burkey in both the 300 hurdles and high jump and Kennedy Page in the long jump.

Honorable Mention All-Conference performers were Keimanni Boyd in the 100 hurdles; Shrembeck in the 400; Jordan Solmen in the 300 hurdles; Cuevas in the 800 and Sophia McGee in the 3200.
