American Association of University Women Youngstown branch will host its end-of-the-year potluck picnic at 11 a.m. June 1 at the home of Clydine Watson-Dickey. The event is for members and invited guests only. There will be a brief meeting followed by an installation of officers. Meetings will resume in September. Mahoning Valley Amateur Radio Association is celebrating 100 years of amateur radio this year. The club is asking any former members or anyone with information about former members to reply. Mill Creek Chapter of American Business Women’s Association will host its June 11 meeting at A La Cart Catering in Canfield beginning with networking at 6 p.m. and dinner at 6:30. The menu will include southern baked chicken, stuffed shells, red potatoes, Italian vegetable blend, tossed salad, pickled beets, gelatin, dessert, coffee and tea. The speaker will be Melissa Smith, owner of 1820 House Candles in East Palestine. She will speak about how she runs her online business and prepares the scents for her candles. First Friday Club of Greater Youngstown will welcome Paul Jarzembowski at 11:30 a.m. June 6 at Avion on the Water Banquet Center, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road, Canfield. Jarzembowski, assistant director for youth and young adult ministries of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, will speak on “Coming …Youth!” There will be an opportunity for participants to ask questions. Trumbull County Travel Club has the following trips planned: June 19 to Cleveland for “Let’s Explore Ohio” day trip; Aug. 14 for the oddities of the Canton area; Sept. 9-17 vacation to South Dakota; and a Nov. 2 outing for a gingerbread tour in Pennsylvania. The club is open to anyone over the age of 21. There are no dues, and meetings are twice a year at various locations within the area. Warren Women’s Club will host its 57th annual Rose Luncheon on June 5 at DiLucia’s Banquet Center, 2610 Elm Road NE. There will be basket and special raffles.
