THURSDAY

Friends Of Fido will host its “Pasta For Pups” spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. at Argus Lodge 545, 5050 Shields Road, Canfield. Dine in or take out. The event will feature a basket raffle and bake sale. For information, call Pam at 330-318-0846. If anyone donates a bag of Pedigree dog food (20 pounds or more), they will receive a free sheet (26 chances a sheet) for a basket raffle. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children age 13 and under.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will take orders for fresh potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 per dozen. No containers are necessary. Orders should be placed from 9 to 11 a.m. or until sold out Thursday and at 10:30 a.m. Friday, if available, by calling 330-746-9528. Pick up will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Lunches also will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

Lord of Life Church, 550 N. Broad St., Canfield, will offer drive-through spaghetti dinners from 3 to 6 p.m. The menu includes spaghetti featuring the church’s famous meat sauce, tossed salad, roll and butter and dessert. Cost is $8 per dinner (cash only), and proceeds will help with ministry expenses. Pull up to the back door for service. Call the church office at 330-533-3531 with questions.

St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell pirogi Friday. Call in orders Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. until sold out, by calling 330-755-1316. Choose potato, kraut or prune pirogi at $6 per dozen. Pickup will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins not accepted. This will be the final sale of the season.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will have a pirogi sale. The cost is $6 per dozen. Potato, cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi are available. Phone orders will be taken from 8 to 10 a.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday. Call 330-542-3525 to order. Pick up will take place from noon to 2 p.m. Friday. This will be the final sale. Sales will resume in October.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, is selling potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $7 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Walk-in orders are welcome. Next week will be the final sale until September.

VFW Col. Louis J. Campbell Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals include meatballs, salad, bread and butter and coffee. Cost is $7.50 for adults and $4 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $8 and will be available until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

SATURDAY

American Legion Post 472, 323 E. Indianola Ave., Youngstown, will host a chicken dinner from 3 to 6 p.m. Dinner is sponsored by the women’s auxiliary and will include one-half chicken, potato, vegetable, dessert and a roll. Cost is $10.

Aut Mori Grotto, 563 N. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown, will host its monthly pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon. Menu includes all-you-can eat pancakes (only), link sausage, scrambled eggs, home fries, sausage gravy and biscuits, coffee and juice. Cost is $6 per adult, $3 for children under 12 and children under 3 eat free. The Aut Mori Grotto is a nonprofit organization comprised of master masons that supports local charities such as Akron Children’s Hospital, Sojourner House and dental care for challenged children under 17 years of age. North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will host a breakfast buffet from 7 to 10 a.m. An all-you-can-eat breakfast or brunch will be available for a donation. Menu includes eggs, pancakes, french toast, sausage, potatoes, homemade pastries, sausage gravy and biscuits, peppers and mushrooms, coffee, orange juice and other beverages. TUESDAY

Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church will sponsor a free neighborhood community dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Orthodox Center, 1025 N. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown.

UPCOMING

First Presbyterian Church, 3654 Main St., Mineral Ridge, will host an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon June 15. Cost is $6 for adults, $4 for children age 4 to 11 and free for anyone under 4. Extra sausage costs $1. This event is in conjunction with the Weatherfield Flag Festival.

St. James the Apostle Parish, 4019 state Route 422, Pulaski, Pa., will host Ted’s Strawberry Social and John’s Breakfast Brunch from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 2. Breakfast includes French toast, sweet cheese filling, buttermilk and buckwheat pancakes with a choice of maple or strawberry syrup, scrambled eggs, eggs scrambled with peppers, onions and cheese, bacon, sausage, ham, home fries, toast, fresh cinnamon rolls, hot and cold cereals, coffee, tea, juices and milk. Also includes strawberries, ice cream and shortcake. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children.

Williamsfield United Methodist Church, 8010 state Route 7, Williamsfield Center, will host a lasagna dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. May 31. Menu includes lasagna, salad, bread, beverage and dessert. Takeout will be available. Cost is $9.50 for adults; $6.50 for children age 8 through 12; and $3 for children age 7 and younger. To order takeout, call 330-974-3000.
