Singer-songwriters to play at Kelly’s

Another songwriters showcase will take place Thursday evening at Kelly’s Bar, 1597 Mahoning Ave. Five artists will each perform their original songs for 30 minutes apiece.

David Crosby to play Kent Stage

David Crosby, the two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and co-founder of the Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash, will come to the Kent Stage on Aug. 20.

Street fair this week in East Palestine

EAST PALESTINE

The East Palestine Street Fair will take place this week in the downtown area. Hours are 5 to 10 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday; 5 to 11 p.m. Friday; and 1 to 11 p.m. Saturday.

The festival includes rides, games, food and live music every night.

Unlimited ride nights will be Wednesday and Thursday for $12; Friday and Saturday for $15.

Broken Smile Farm will have pony rides and a petting zoo, and there willl be a $5,000 raffle and nightly drawings for smaller amounts and other prizes.
