The Wilsons will celebrate 50th anniversary

The Revs. Lester and Wanda Wilson of Boardman will be honored for their golden anniversary during an open celebration that will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. June 2 at Lockwood United Methodist Church, 4570 Lockwood Blvd.

The couple’s children are Andrew Wilson of Youngstown and Angela (Scott) Pelinsky of Erie, Pa. Three grandchildren complete their family.

Mr. Wilson married the former Wanda Rhodes on June 14, 1969, in Olean, N.Y.

The couple served as pastors in multiple United Methodist churches throughout the East Ohio Conference until they retired in 2009.
