Boardman girls track finished second at Avon Reynolds Relays

The Boardman High School girls varsity track team finished in second place with 92 points at Avon Reynolds Relays on April 27. The 4x800 of Alayna Cuevas, Bailey Moore, Gina Gabriele and Raegan Burkey won in 10:21.99. The high jump relay of Kaylin Burkey and Haley Ho won with a combined height of nine feet, eight inches. The shuttle hurdle relay of Kaylin Burkey. Kemanni Boyd, Jordan Solmen and Katie Stamp were meet champions in 1:13.08.

Scoring a second place finish was the 4x400 team of Ho, Bella Alvarico, Julia Shrembeck and Emma Tokarsky.

Third place finishes on the day included the sprint medley relay of Destinee Hayes, Alvarico, Shrembeck and Jordan Solmen; the distance medley relay of Raegan Burkey, Kaylin Burkey, Moore and Cuevas; the 4x200 of Salina Jackson, Shrembeck, Tokarsky and Alvarico and finally the 4x1600 of Isabelle Dwyer, Julia Gorby, Sophia McGee and Macy Potts.

Fourth place finishers included Destinee Hayes in the 100, Kenzie Widrig and Tara Pasvanis in the pole vault relay and the shot put relay of Emily Carnahan and Keimanni Boyd.

Leading scorers on the season are Kaylin Burkey in first with 114, Raegan Burkey in second with 86.5 and Emily Carnahan in third with 64.
