Hubbard High School graduate L.J. Scott signed with the Cleveland Browns on Monday, the team announced.

The terms with the running back were not disclosed.

The Browns waived running back Devante Mays to make room for Scott. Previously, the Browns had Austintown Fitch graduate Darrin Hall in their backfield as an undrafted free agent. He was released after a three-day rookie minicamp.

Scott went undrafted out of Michigan State in April’s NFL draft and initially was a minicamp invitee with the Baltimore Ravens, but wasn’t added to the roster.

Scott ended his Spartans career with 2,855 rushing yards and 25 touchdowns in four seasons. His yard totals is ninth all-time in Michigan State history and his TDs are 12th most in school history.

Scott led the Spartans in rushing from 2015 through 2017.
