GARDEN CLUBS

WEDNESday

Mignonette Garden Club will meet at noon in the Tyler Room at Fellows Riverside Gardens. The speaker will be Ellen Speicher, horticulturist, whose topic will be “Bugs: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.” Lunch will follow at 1 p.m. at Kravitz’s Garden Cafe. Hostess will be Terry Gallagher, and co-hostess will be Catherine Campana.

Thursday

Johnny Appleseed Garden Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. to learn the history of White House Farms. Barb McGarry and Harriet Deeds will be hostess and co-hostess, respectively.

FRIDAY

Trailwood Gardeners will host its annual garage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 111 Nesbitt St. Hostess will be Pam Phillips and co-hostesses will be Doris Rice and Michelle Bova.

UPCOMING

Mahoning Valley Dahlia Society will sponsor its annual plant and tuber sale from 1 to 4 p.m. May 19 in the fellowship hall at Calvary Baptist Church, 1463 Shields Road, Youngstown. All colors and flower shapes will be available. Society members will be available to assist with plant selection and answer questions.
