STRUTHERS

Nolan Shannon pitched a four-hitter as the Raiders (20-4) beat the Irish at Bob Cene Park. Shannon struck out four and walked two in the complete-game victory. Josh Stear went 2 for 3 and scored a run for South Range and Ben Rivera had an RBI single. Both teams scored a run in the first inning and the Raiders broke the 1-1 tie with two in the top of the fifth. Losing pitcher Jonah Kirchner scattered six hits over six innings. He walked three and struck out three. Jeremy Kreuzwieser had a double for Ursuline (11-14).

Columbiana 14, Girard 0

COLUMBIANA

Chase Franken threw a five-inning no-hitter for the Clippers (13-9). He was a walk short of a perfect game and had five strikeouts. He also set the school record for career runs while going 3 for 4 with two triples, a double, four RBIs and three runs scored. Wayne Davis added two hits with a double and knocked in a run. Evan Kenneally had three RBIs and Logan Hoschar added a two-run single for Columbiana. Joey Wilczak recorded his first varsity hit with a single in the fourth inning.

Lake Center Christian 4, Lisbon 1

HARTVILLE

Lake Center Christian scored three runs in the fifth inning to break the tie. Josh Entrikin hit an RBI single. Logan Bell threw two perfect innings — striking out four — before making way for Justin Sweeney, who took the loss. Lake Center Christian’s Matt Starcher held Lisbon to four hits and four walks while getting the complete-game win. Thomas Fulk hit an RBI double for the winning side.

Rootstown 11, LaBrae 2

LEAVITTSBURG

Landen Kiser and Dane Sprague drove in runs for the Vikings. Colton Stoneman went 2 for 3 for LaBrae. Matt McGarth went 3 for 3 with three RBIs and four runs scored for the Rovers. Thanye Ocel was 2 for 2 with two RBIs and scored once.
