Maria Wilaj, Dan Dougherty plan July vows

John and Nicoletta Wilaj of Lowellville and Shawn and Molly Dougherty of Boardman are announcing the engagement of their children, Maria Wilaj of Lowellville and Dan Dougherty of Boardman.

The ceremony is set to take place at 1 p.m. July 5 at Holy Rosary Church in Lowellville. A reception will follow at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center in Boardman. Invitations will be issued for both events.

Miss Wilaj graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in education. She is an intervention specialist for the Niles City School District. She also coaches junior-high cheerleading at Lowellville.

Mr. Dougherty also graduated from YSU with a bachelor’s degree in education. He is a teacher with the Lowellville Local School District. He also is the head baseball coach of the Lowellville Rockets varsity team.
