Winning pitcher Dylan Durkos scattered five hits, striking out five and walking seven. Jamie Thomson contributed three hits, three stolen bases and three runs scored. Lukas Mosora hit a two-run triple while Evan Jarvis had two RBIs. Andrew Frank doubled for the Eagles (12-12, 5-8 Northeast 8). The Falcons dropped to 9-11, 4-9.

Jake Gehrig pitched five innings of four-hit ball for the Raiders. Gehring struck out 10 and walked one. Nick Guarnieri had two hits for the Red Dragons, including a solo home run in the bottom of the third. Corbin Foy allowed nine runs — five earned — on 11 hits and a walk in four innings pitched. Kris Scandy went 2 for 3 with three RBIs and two runs scored for South Range while Josh Stear and Brandon Mikos drove in two runs each.

AKRON
JT Ogden, AJ Pepperney and Jordan Sheehan drove in two runs each for the Cardinals. Ian Francis, Ethan Shaw and Matt Womer also drove in runs for Mooney. Walter Sweeney, Pepperney and Sheehan doubled. Pepperney allowed three runs on four hits and a walk in three innings pitched. St. Vincent-St. Mary had four hits, two were triples.

Liberty’s Dwight Parker threw a one-hitter through six innings, striking out 12 and walking one. At the plate, he had four RBIs. Anthony Petrone hit a two run double and Billy Kocher added two RBIs for the Leopards (5-16, 5-6 All-American Conference Blue Tier).

Austin Vogt’s hit total at the plate matched what he gave up on the mound in seven innings for Lakeview: two. Vogt struck out seven and had no walks. Austin Claussell hit a double and scored a run for Girard.

Logan Shields also doubled and he drove in two runs as did Ryan Scala. For the Trojans (1-9, 1-9 Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference), Joe Clark and Dylan Johnson singled.

Winning pitcher Jake Pappagallo (4-2) and Jordan Powell combined on a five-inning two-hitter. Pappagallo struck out four and walked one in three innings. Dan Windham’s four hits included a triple and double, and he scored three runs for the Blue Devils (13-7, 8-5 MVAC). Ryan Slaven drove in two runs with two hits including a triple. He scored twice. Caleb Quinn tripled while Brycen Jackson’s two hits included a double and drove in two runs. Cody Wise also drove in two runs. For the Blue Jays, Kent Gross and Frankie Prozy each doubled.

Matt Mazei and Evan Kenneally scored two runs apiece. Chase Franken picked up his fourth win. Franken allowed one run on two hits in his three innings of work and struck out six. Kenneally worked three inninsg for the save. Kenneally allowed one hit and struck out two. Sefton Houlette had one of the Bears’ three hits and scored.

Winning pitcher Logan Bell (6-1) struck out 12 to surpass 100 on the season for the Blue Devils (10-12, 6-7 EAOC). Bell drove in eight runs with three hits. One was a grand slam, the other doubles. Blake Reynolds had four hits. Josh Entrikin, Justin Sweeney, Tyler Welsh and Tyler Toot all had multiple hits.

Jake Williams hit a two-run double while Hunter Schoenfeld drove in two runs with two hits. Miller hit two doubles and Adam Wilbert’s two hits included a homer. Zach Rhodanz and Ethan Hall each had two hits including doubles.

Jorge Leedham started and lasted four innings for Hickory. He was relieved by Nick Osborne who went three shutout innings for the win. Asher Patton doubled in Hayden Gallagher in the fourth. Patton scored on Nick Osborne’s sacrifice fly to tie the game at 3. Cam Whalen homered, his fifth of the year, in the fifth inning to put Hickory ahead, and Connor Evans added a two-out, two-run single in the bottom of the fifth inning.
