Nick Demonica drove in four runs on three hits for Lakeview. Brendan Kilpatrick added two hits and a RBI for the Bulldogs. Garrett Deemer had two hits and a RBI for Howland.

BEAVER TOWNSHIP

South Range used two pitchers to complete a two-hitter. Brandon Mikos got the win, striking out four in four innings. Nolan Shannon pitched the final three innings, allowing three walks and striking out a pair. Kris Scandy had two hits, including a double, and drove in three runs for the Raiders (16-4). Josh Stear also doubled for South Range. JT Thompson allowed two runs and three walks in the loss for the Big Red (15-6).

Jackson-Milton 16, Sebring 12

NORTH JACKSON

Aaren Landis had three hits and an RBI to lead Jackson-Milton (10-11). James Harris added two hits and an RBI. Frankie Prozy, Nick Rich, and Joey Williams drove in two runs each. Zane Peterson had two hits and three RBI for Sebring (1-8).

Beaver Local 5, Columbiana 3

COLUMBIANA

Avery Wiegand knocked home to runs for the Beavers and three Beavers pitchers held the Clippers to three hits. Chase Franken, Evan Kenneally and Phil Slater each had a hit, with Slater’s being his first varsity hit. Matt Mazei took the loss.

SOFTBALL

Austintown Fitch 7-1, Massillon 0-13

AUSTINTOWN

Lydia Spalding hit two doubles and drove in a run for the Falcons in the opener. On the mound, Spalding scattered three hits and struck out 10 batters. Lainie Simons’ two hits included a double. Maddy Taylor doubled and drove in two runs. Abby Brown and Elyssa Molody each had two hits. For the Tigers, Arianna Berry doubled and Hannah Schweier had two hits. In the second game, Berry had three jots while Sam Hackenbract’s two hits included a homer and she drove in two runs. Brynn Polilli had two hits. For the Falcons (13-8), Maddy Taylor had two hits and drove in the run. Also with hits were Spalding, Kayla Kelty, Simons and Brown.

Badger 13, Newton Falls 1

NEWTON FALLS

Hunter Bengala got the win, striking out two and walking one while scattering three hits in four innings. Bengala hit a three-run homer in the top of the fifth. Sammy Pykare had three doubles. Haylee Mott also had a three-hit day while driving in three runs for the Braves (11-7). Sophie Tvaroch took the loss for the Tigers, allowing five runs on five hits and four walks. Tvaroch struck out three in three innings. She hit a double and with an RBI and Zoe McElrath also doubled.

Newton Falls 6, Jackson-Milton 1

NEWTON FALLS

Lynzi Satterlee, Taylor Sahli, Chelsea Williams and Logan Grunder had a hit each for Jackson-Milton. Katie Mitchell struck out two for Jackson-Milton. No details for Newton Falls were provided.

Lakeview 15-15, Howland 4-7

CORTLAND

Beady Titus led Lakeview (9-12) in game one with four hits and three RBIs. Raegan Schick added a pair of hits and five RBIs. Emily Darlington homered for Howland. In game two, Cait Kelm had five hits for the Bulldogs, including two home runs and six RBIs. Abbie Campana added four hits and Titus drove in four runs on three hits. Emily Darlington homered again for the Tigers in game two.

Waterloo 16, Sebring 1

SEBRING

Amber Cieplinksi hit her 12th home run of the season. She also had three singles and five RBIs for the Vikings (15-4, 12-2 Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference). Waterloo had 17 hits including three each from Brooke Twichell and Laura Hood. Brooke England hit a triple and a single. Mariah Francis earned the win. Sebring stats were not reported.

POLAND

Allyson Andrews scored twice and Jillian Phillips added a goal. Andrews led the Bulldogs with nine ground balls while Emillie Franco had seven ground balls and an assist. Kylee Hissner stopped 16 shots for Poland.
