Colin Balas singled home the winning run for the Irish (10-9) while going 3 for 6 including two doubles and two RBIs. Andrew Sabella had two RBIs on two hits and Ian Barton pitched the final three innings to get the win in relief. Tyler Hurd and Jude Riffle each had two hits for Crestview (11-7), with Hurd collecting a double.
Western Reserve 15, Lowellville 0
BERLIN CENTER
Dan Windham threw a five-inning no-hitter, allowing one walk and a hit batter while striking out five. Brycen Jackson went 3 for 3 with two doubles, four RBIs and three runs scored for the Blue Devils (10-7, 6-5 MVAC). Jake Pappagallo drove in three runs, Nick Niemi had a double with two RBIs and Windham hit a double with an RBI. Ricky Cutter took the loss, allowing 11 runs — seven earned — on 11 hits and a walk in three innings pitched.
Poland 6, Niles 4
POLAND
Alex Barth allowed three unearned runs on four hits and two walks in the win. Barth struck out one in 5 1/3 innings pitched. Jake Bacon, Braeden O’Shaughnessy, MJ Farber and Barth had RBIs for the Bulldogs. Corbin Foy took the loss, allowing four runs on three hits and six walks. Foy didn’t record a strikeout in 1 2/3 innings pitched. Joe Gallo, Chase Sudzina and Kenny Flanigan each drove in a run for the Red Dragons.
Canfield 4, Austintown Fitch 3
CANFIELD
Patrick Coleman threw four innings to start the game for the Falcons, allowing two runs and striking out three. Jake Lawrence came in for relief, finishing the game. Lawrence allowed one unearned run on just two hits while striking out four. Trey Giannini went 2 for 3 with a double and a single for the Falcons. Bobby Cavalier added a hit and two RBIs for Fitch (15-6, 5-3 AAC). Canfield stats were not reported.
South Range 11, Girard 4
BEAVER TOWNSHIP
Jake Gehring had two hits, including a double and drove in five runs for the Raiders (15-4, 10-1 NE8). Kris Scandy also drove in a pair. Nick Habeth allowed 11 hits and struck out six in a complete-game win. Braydon Freeland allowed all nine of the Raiders’ first-inning runs. Freeland was replaced by Andrew Delgarbino, who allowed two runs in five innings for the Indians (5-10, 3-8 NE8). Austin Claussell and Andrew Delgarbino each doubled for Girard.

YOUNGSTOWN
Edliam O‘Neill had three hits and Jeremiah Antonetti had two for the Golden Bears. 0’Neill and Carlos Rosa drove in runs for East.

MINERAL RIDGE
Payton Zupko got the win. Dylan Johnson pitched 2 1/3 innings of relief in the loss. Dom Medina had four hits with a double. Koby Zupko had three hits including a double while Dakota Edwards went 2 for 2 for the Rams. Jake Hunter went 3 for 4 and Dylan Johnson was 2 for 2 for the Trojans.

NEWBURY
Owen Mansfield had two RBIs for the Black Knights (7-6, 6-3 NAC). Kurtis Borsi got the win, striking out five and walking four before the game was called in the fifth inning due to rain. Gage Elza took the loss, striking out eight and walking one. Nick Church had three hits, including a double for the Panthers (12-4, 8-2 NAC). Dustin Dodds also doubled and Elza had two hits. Matt Fink and Noah Arnold each had two hits for Newbury.
Marlington 14, Salem 1
SALEM
The Dukes took a 8-0 lead after six-run top of the second inning. Salem starter Rhodes didn’t make it out of the third inning and junior Seth Seddon came on in relief but didn’t fair much better. Marlington scores five runs in the third and added one run in the fifth. The Quakers (9-10, 5-4 EBC) scored their only run in the bottom of the fifth.
Mathews 10, Badger 4
VIENNA
Jackson Iceman was 4 for 4 with two doubles and four RBIs for Mathews (14-1) and Adam Wilbert struck out two while earning the win in relief. Wilbert also hit a double and had three RBIs. Koby Wear had two hits for Badger.
Alliance 2, West Branch 0
ALLIANCE
Alliance’s Gavin Bruni tossed a one-hitter through six innings, striking out 11 and walking four. Tanner Egli had both of West Branch’s (12-9) hits. David Cunningham struck out nine while taking the loss for the Warriors.

SALINEVILLE
Chase Franken struck out 10 and gave up just two hits for a complete-game victory for the Clippers (8-8, 6-4). Ryan Fahs had three RBIs on two hits, including a double. Riley McElwain had his first varsity hit, which scored a run.

WARREN
Cameron Hollobaugh hit a double,, collected two RBIs and stole a base for Warren JFK. He also struck out eight in four innings of work. Gavin Shrum added two hits, including a double.
Hickory 10, Greenville 2
GREENVILLE, PA.
Nick Osborne gave up one earned run through six innings to get the win for Hickory (8-2, 5-1). Zack Lordo pitched the seventh. Cameron Whaley was 2 for 3 with a double for the winning side.

YOUNGSTOWN
Ursuline (19-2) pounded out 17 hits behind Emily Holland’s triple, two singles and two RBIs and Gia Caldrone’s three hits. Maris Barbato hit two doubles for three RBIs while Emma Ericson, Macy Ross, and Jenna O’Hara each added two hits. Julia Nutter hit a two-run double and Alyssa Sheely added a single and two RBI.

Morgan Donithan hit a home run in the seventh inning for the Blue Devils (6-11, 5-8 MVAC). Riley Ladd went 2 for 3 with an RBI. Rosie Nolder also went 2 for 3 with an RBI. Victoria Tedesco went 2 for 3 with a run scored.

Brooke Bobbey won both games. Both games only lasted four innings due to time. The Bulldogs improve to 19-0 (11-0 NE8).

CANFIELD
Lydia Spalding struck out eight on the mound and had a a double at the plate for Fitch (11-7, 8-1). Maddy Taylor added two doubles, Lainie Simmons had a double and two RBIs and Abby Brown hit a triple. Hannah Kovach hit a triple and Bayann Jadallah and Aiden Orlovsky each hit a double for Canfield (6-10, 4-3).

BEAVER TOWNSHIP
Bree Kohler was a triple short of hitting for the cycle while knocking in three runs for South Range (15-6). Hannah Dennison and Brooke Sauerwein each had a single and a double for the Raiders and Raegan Irons struck out three and gave up zero walks and three hits for the win. Angela Spisak took the loss for Girard.

Allison Smith struck out 10 with 0 walks and Emma Gumont hit a home run for Champion (17-2, 11-0). Cassidy Shaffer hit a triple and had three RBIs. LaBrae (14-6, 7-3) collected four hits against the Golden Flashes.

SALEM
Rylie Troy hit an inside-the-park home run and stole two bases for Salem. Elly Exline swiped three bases and had two hits. Taylor Thorpe struck out eight while taking a no-hitter into the sixth. Emily Darlington hit a triple for Howland’s only hit.
Boardman 9, Steubenville 4
BOARDMAN
Madison Lester struck out nine while going the distance for Boardman, giving up one earned run on seven hits and a walk. Kathryn O’Horo went 4 for 4 with a double and an RBI and Lauren Maughan had a double and two RBIs. Stef Mikel Blackburn had two hits for Steubenville while taking the loss.

BROOKFIELD
Gabby Schiska won both games for the Warriors. Schiska struck out four with a walk in the opener and struck out four with two walks in the nightcap. Morgan McNamara, Chloe Willrich, Autumn Sirochman, Macy Devine, Izzy Shingledecker and Schicka all had mulitple RBIs for Brookfield. Bailey Drapola doubled in both games. Krysten Fine took the loss in the first game, striking out one with two walks. Savanna Houk took the loss in Game 2, striking out two with a walk. Makenzie McBride doubled in the opener for the Leopards and recorded multiple hits in the nightcap. Houk had multiple hits in the opener.
TENNIS
Seeds set for Division I boys tennis Canton sectional
The Draw/Seed Meeting was recently held for the Division I Canton Sectional Tennis Tournament.
The tournament will begin on Tuesday at Jackson Township’s North Park tennis courts at 9 a.m. Quarterfinal matches will be on May 9 after school and the semifinals and finals are scheduled for May 11.
Schools participating in the Sectional are: Alliance, Austintown Fitch, Barberton, Boardman, Canfield, Canton McKinley, Dover, Glenoak, Green, Hoover, Jackson, Kenmore-Garfield, Lake, Louisville, Marlington, New Philadelphia, Perry, Washington and Wooster.
The singles seeds are as follows: No. 1 Logan Langovsky (Green), No. 2 Sirin Nalluri (Canfield), No. 3 Cyprian Voisvenel (Jackson) and No. 4 Andrew Hoskins (Perry).
The doubles seeds are as follows: No. 1 Matt Warburton/Jacob Wood (Hoover), No. 2 Alex Drewes/Bobby Thomas (Jackson), No. 3 Michael Stefan/Arjun Shanmugan (Jackson) and No. 4 Spencer Hall/Scott Gronow (Louisville).
The Division I Districts will be held May 16 and May 18 at the Springside Racquet and Fitness Club in Akron.
