The Indians scored twice in the ninth inning to complete Monday’s suspended game. Winning pitcher Timmy West drove in both runs. For the Blue Devils, Logan Bell had three hits while Josh Entrikin, Nick Mundy and Blake Reynolds each had two. In the second game,G. Brewer drove in two runs for the Indians. J. Pratt and S, May each had a RBI. For Lisbon, Logan Bell doubled.

YOUNGSTOWN
Emily Holland (9-2) scattered five hits in her four innings of pitching for the Irish (18-2). She struck out three and walked two. At the plate, Holland contributed a two-run double. Maris Barbato and Destiny Goodnight each had three hits while Julia Nutter, Madelyn Miklandric and Paige Ogden each had two apiece.

Julie Centofanti’s bases-clearing double in the 10th inning was the difference. Centofanti also doubled to drive in another run for the Raiders (14-5, 8-3 Northeast 8). Maddie Helon also had two hits. For the Falcons, Destiny Mayes and Brenna Hagerdon each had two hits.

Beady Titus led the Bulldogs with three hits. Olee Klem tripled and doubled. Cait Kelm’s two hits included a homer and Raegan Schick had two hits and drove in three runs. Mariah Tackett had two RBIs.

YOUNGSTOWN
Megan Ward hit two home runs for McDonald (12-3, 12-0 Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference) — one inside the park and outside the park — and added a triple while going 4 for 4 with four RBIs. Bri Callow hit a triple and a double while striking out six with no walks. Madison Kelly hit a solo home run for Lowellville’s only hit. Chelsea Sudol hit a triple for the winning side.

Alayna Sines had three hits while Kendyl Switzer had two hits and two RBIs for the Panthers. Switzer allowed three hits, striking out 10 and walking six. Emily Bush’s two hits included a homer. Kayla Switzer doubled and Alexis Shafer drove in two runs.

Grace Heath had three hits, including a triple for West Branch (20-3). Heath drove in two runs for the Warriors. Riley Mosler added three hits and an RBI and Peyton Alazaus and Sydney Mercer had a pair of hits and an RBI each. Zoey Drake homered for Carrollton.

Maeghan Williams led the Cardinals (13-1) with five goals. Lexi Saunders scored four goals and Olivia Alfano three. Mariah Farragher had a goal and two assists. Mia Stana, Anna Wollet and Katie Enright also scored. Nicole Rotunno and Angela Proia each had three interceptions and Annie Driscoll finished with 12 saves.

POLAND
The Bulldogs trailed by two at halftime before the Spartans pulled away during the home side’s senior night. Emillie Franco had a hat trick and pulled in seven ground balls in defeat. Zoe Simon had two goals and Allyson Andrews had one.
COACHING
Cardinal Mooney names three new coaches
YOUNGSTOWN
Edward Baldado, Olivia Murphy and Matthew Britton have been named Cardinal Mooney High School coaches. Baldado will be the varsity boys head golf coach. Murphy will be the varsity girls soccer head coach. A former Columbiana coach, Murphy was a recipient of the 2017 Youngstown District Scholastic Soccer Coach’s Division III Coach of the Year and the Y5 Award for Outstanding Service and Outreach. Matthew Britton will be the varsity boys soccer head coach. He has been Maplewood’s head soccer coach since 2014.
