Jamie Thomson singled and stole three bases including home in the Viking Classic game. Sam Mauk contributed a RBI single. The other Eagles with hits were Evan Jarvis, Nate Bencetic and Lukas Mosora. Winning pitcher Anthony Corrin (1-1) pitched five innings, striking out three and walking three. For the Monarchs, Rodney Banner hit a RBI double.

Heritage Christian (Ind.) 5, Hubbard 3

MURFREESBORO, TENN.

Cooper Williams’ two hits included a double and drove in three runs for Heritage Christian. For the Eagles (2-4), Mosora hit a RBI double, Thomson tripled and Jarvis hit a solo homer.

Josh Young pitched six innings for the Quakers (2-2), striking out three.

Linsly (W.Va.) 5, Crestview 3

WHEELING, W.VA.

Linsly scored four runs in the bottom of the third inning to take a 5-0 lead. Senior Devin Turvey hit a three-run home run in the top of the sixth inning for the Rebels. Crestview freshman Carter Blakeman had two hits.

Austintown Fitch 4, North Canton Hoover 3

AUSTINTOWN

Lydia Spalding ptiched a complete game for Fitch (3-1), striking out 10 and giving up just four hits. Maddy Taylor hit a three run homerun to lift the Falcons offense. She also drove in the go ahead run in the bottom of the sixth. Hoover was led by Faith Kiko with three RBI.

Crestview 3, Linsly (W. Va.) 0

LINSLY, W.VA.

A bases-loaded walk to Karsyn Moore scored McKenna Schultz with the winning run for the Rebels (4-0). Kaedyn Sutton followed with a two-run double scoring Haley Eskra and Olivia Strank. Sutton was the winning pitcher. For Linsly, K. Recrosio & S. Heller each had two hits.

Canfield 10, NDCL 8

CHARDON

Joey D’Apolito scored four goals for the Cardinals (3-1). Brennen Klingensmith and Stone Elias each scored three while Ryan Shidemantle made 19 saves.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Canfield 5, Westlake 4

CANFIELD

Tara Santoro, Athena Poulas, Emily Wilson, Elena Martin and Claire Crescimanno each scored a goal as the Cardinals (3-1) beat the Demons. Sarah Grohovsky and Shiane Donnarummno each had an assist and goalie Mara Guerrieri made 14 saves and three interceptions for Canfield.
