The Widelskis mark golden jubilee on trip

John and Phyllis Widelski of Boardman celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary during a renewal of vows at Sandals Resort in the Turks & Caicos Islands.

The couple’s children, Kimberly (Jeff) Simon and Rachelle (Randy) Smith along with their four grandchildren, Zak and Zoe Simon and Sidney and R.J. Smith, hosted the event.

Mr. Widelski and the former Phyllis Dudash were married Nov. 23, 1968, at St. Stanislaus Church in Youngstown.

Mrs. Widelski is a homemaker.

Her husband worked as a utilities analyst for Simco Management in Girard. He retired from EOG/Dominion after 32 years.

Mr. Widelski served in the U.S. Army Artillery from 1965 to 1967.

The couple belong to St. Luke Catholic Church in Boardman and are members of The Lake Club in Poland.
