The Sandwich Factory Girls Golf League opening day is set for April 27. The league is for girls ages 5 to 18, if still in high school, who have an interest in participating in a league with their peers or on their own. The league takes place Saturday mornings at the Mill Creek Par 3 Course. There is a $55 league fee, made payable to the Sandwich Factory Girls Golf League, which is due with the application. The green fee is $4 per week, with pricing subject to change. All rounds are nine holes with maximum eight shots per hole, maximum five shots to the green and maximum three putts.
All girls must arrive by 9:30 a.m, with a shot-gun start at 10 a.m. Pairings are determined by age groups and/or abilities. No groups will tee off without adult supervision. Adults are permitted and encouraged to walk. Make-up days and pre-golf are allowed for missed days. An adult must keep score and sign the score card and then turn it in to the club house. Scores must also be posted on league scoreboard prior to leaving the course. Score cards need to include player’s name, date and the score keeper’s name.
Bring a Parent/Guardian Day will be held May 11, End of Season Scramble/Banquet Day is June 22, and the last day of golf is June 29.
Picture day, with golf scramble and picnic, will be held June 1. Golfers must arrive at course by 8:30 a.m. for individual and group photos. Order forms will be passed out prior to picture day. After pictures, girls will participate in scramble (all ages mixed). The top teams will receive prizes. A picnic will follow the scramble and parents are invited.
On closing day, there will be a 9:30 a.m. arrival time for a scramble that will be followed by a banquet, prizes and trophy presentation.
