Austintown Cub Scout Pack 184 had its Freeze Out event on March 9, at On Target Outfitters in Canfield.

Forty-eight scouts and 55 adults participated in this camping event.

During the day program, scouts moved from station to station to practice team-building and learn a variety of outdoor skills including food safety and how to cook over a fire.

During the evening program, scouts were entertained by Outback Ray’s Amazing Animal Show. Scouts learned about several exotic animals and had the opportunity to pet them. The hit of the show was Spongebob, the Albino Burmese Python that is more than 11-feet long. It took 10 scouts standing in a line to hold the snake. Scouts also watched a movie and camped out in the On Target Outfitters clubhouse.
