Montessori students support local animal rescue

Students from the Montessori School of the Mahoning Valley recently collected donations for New Lease on Life Animal Rescue in Struthers. On March 9, student and parent volunteers delivered the donations and spent time walking dogs, playing with puppies and assisting with other tasks to support New Lease on Life’s mission to secure a safe and caring home for all pets in need. Through a number of community service projects throughout the school year, MSMV students learn practical life skills through volunteer experiences that foster compassion and empathy. Founded in 1976, The Montessori School of the Mahoning Valley is committed to providing a high-quality Montessori educational environment that nurtures independent, life-long learning while instilling respect, responsibility and resourcefulness.
