Eastern Gateway defeats CCAC-Boyce
AUSTINTOWN
The Eastern Gateway Community College baseball team collected 15 hits in a 10-3 win over CCAC-Boyce in Ohio Community College Athletic Conference action at Austintown Fitch High School.
EGCC (7-6, 3-2 OCCAC) snapped their two-game tailspin while Boyce dropped to 4-10.
Hayden Kristophel led the Gators offensively with four hits, also adding a double and stolen base.
Evan Knaus and Jeremiah Papa each had two hits and a double, Noah Laster two hits and Doug Painter a double for EGCC, which has now won six of their last eight outings.
Alfredo Cruz picked up the win in relief.
The Gators will face Edison State in a doubleheader on Friday at 1 p.m. at Austintown Fitch.
