UPDATE | Jessica Iglesias, 36, of Hubbard dead in I-80 crash

HUBBARD TOWNSHIP — The Ohio State Highway Patrol has identified the victim of this morning's fatal crash on Interstate 80 in Hubbard Township as Jessica Iglesias, 36, of Hubbard.

The patrol says she struck the rear of a stopped tractor trailer in the westbound lanes.

The patrol says the tractor trailer driver, Katherina V. Stewart, 53, of Asheboro, N.C. was stopped in traffic in a 2019 tractor trailer because of an earlier crash on Route 80 when the driver of a 209 Cadillac struck the rear of the tractor trailer.

The fatal crash happened between the Hubbard and Liberty exits.

Iglesias, driver of the Cadillac was pronounced dead at the scene. Stewart was not injured. Her passenger, Benjamin S. Bargeron, 60, of Asheboro, N.C., was also not injured.

The highway was closed because of the two crashes but is now back open, the patrol said in a press release.

The earlier crash the highway patrol mentioned was a four-vehicle crash on the I-80 in Liberty Township that sent one person to the hospital. That crash was a short distance east of the Belmont Avenue exist in Liberty Township.
