Boardman High jazz festival

The 19th annual Boardman High School Jazz Fest will take place at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Boardman Performing Arts Center, 7777 Glenwood Ave. The event will feature BHS jazz ensembles 1, 2 and 3, the 8th Grade Jazz Ensemble and special guest artist Andy Martin. Admission is $5 (free for senior citizens).

Theater presents farcical ‘Play On!’

The New Castle Playhouse will present “Play On!” by Rick Abbott at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and April 4, 5 and 6; and at 2 p.m. Sunday and April 7, in the Annex Theater, 212 E. Long Ave. “Play On!” is a farcical play about a theater group trying to put on a new British murder mystery, while the author keeps rewriting it.
