“Community Connection” (Sunday at 6;30 a.m. on 21 WFMJ-TV and 11 a.m. on WBCB-TV): The Mahoning County Convention and Visitors Bureau has a new program that involves local wineries. Tara Mady, assistant director, will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss the Wines of the Valley Tour.

Next, Minister Martha Conyers Allen will discuss FreeIndeed ministries and its programming, and the First Step Act being implemented. She also will discuss a symposium on criminal justice reform featuring Judge Theresa Dellick.

Trombone, flute recitals at YSU

The Dana School of Music will present a recital by the trombone studio at 3 p.m. Sunday, and a flute studio recital at 7:30 p.m. Monday, both in Bliss Recital Hall, on the lower level of Bliss Hall, on the Youngstown State University campus. Admission to both are free.

Social media lunch series

YOUNGSTOWN

Youngstown State University’s communications department will present a Social Media Essentials Brown Bag Lunch Series lecture from noon to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Kilcawley Center’s Ohio Room. Guest speaker will be Dennis Schiraldi, founder of DOYO Live Digital Marketing Conference.

The session is free but reservations should be made to Adam Earnheardt at acearnheardt@ysu.edu. A variety of lunch options for individual purchase will be available in Kilcawley Center before the sessions.

Schiraldi is a marketing executive with expertise in digital-marketing strategy.

The final event in the series will be “Snapchat,” on April 30, presented by Ryan McNicholas, assistant director of marketing for fitness and wellness in YSU’s campus recreation program.
