Burns, Jones make All-Academic teams

INDIANAPOLIS

The Youngstown State men’s and women’s track and field duo of distance runner Alan Burns and high jumper Abby Jones made the Academic All-Horizon League team, the League announced on Thursday.

Jones has a 4.00 as a physical education major. This winter, she took second in the Horizon League Championships.

Burns, a Boardman graduate, carries a 3.40 Grade Point Average as a senior business major. Burns took second in the 5,000 meter run in the Horizon League Championships.
