Cyler Kane-Johnson of Niles was named on Wednesday to the Division II All-Ohio first team by the Ohio Prep Sports Writers Association.

The 5-foot-10 senior averaged 25.6 points.

Ursuline’s RJ Clark was selected to the second team. He averaged 21.3 points, five assists and six rebounds.

Poland’s Braeden O’Shaughnessy, who averaged 19.4 points, five rebounds, four assists and 2.4 steals, received Special Mention honors.

O’Shaughnessy a 6-0 senior, surpassed 1,000 points in his four-year career and is Poland’s second-highest scorer. The Bulldogs finished 23-3, qualifying for the regional tournament.

Lakeview’s AJ McClellan also was special mention. Clark, O’Shaughnessy and McClellan were voted to the Northeast Inland District first team.

Receiving honorable mention were: Dan Kramer, Poland; Marquel Gillespie, Chaney; Austin Claussell, Girard; and Reese Leone, West Branch.

In Division I, Boardman’s Derrick Anderson and Austintown Fitch’s Todd Simons received Special Mention honors. Both were voted to the district’s first team. Anderson, a 6-0 junior, averaged 17.8 points, 5.4 assists, 4 rebounds and 2.6 steals. Simons, a 6-3 sophomore, averaged 18 points and 6.4 rebounds.

Warren Harding’s Dom McGhee, who made second team on the district list, received honorable mention.
