Pittsburgh Symphony at Westminster

NEW WILMINGTON, PA.
The inaugural Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra series at Westminster College will continue Monday as the Grammy-winning orchestra – with conductor Manfred Honeck – returns to Orr Auditorium.
The 7:30 p.m. concert will be the second and final performance of the season.
Honeck will conduct selections from Edvard Greig’s “Peer Gynt” – including “Morning Mood” and “In the Hall of the Mountain King” – and Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto, featuring Lithuanian violinist Julian Rachlin.
The orchestra will also perform Rachmaninoff’s Caprice Bohemien.
Rachlin has established himself as one of the most exciting and respected musicians of our time.
