New theater company to present ‘Confessional’

The newly formed Rude Mechanicals Theater Company will present its inaugural production, “Confessional,” at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday in Calvin Center, 755 Mahoning Ave. Tickets are $15 ($10 for students and senior citizens). Call 330-507-2358 for reservations. The play includes adult humor, language, situations and subject matter.
“Confessional” is a collection of monologues and sketches revolving around the idea of confessing one’s deepest secrets. The sketches range from comic to poignant, raunchy to ridiculous. As an added component, audience members will be asked to write an anonymous confession on an index card. These confessions will be incorporated into the performance.
The script is by local playwright James Hain, with special material by Jeffrey Davis, Lisa Torrence, Lynn Sabeh, Karrigan Davis, and Katherine Skaggs.
Hain is the director. The cast includes Jeffrey Davis, Karrigan Davis, Sydney Miles, Cassandra Molocea, Thomas Panek, Rob Schmidt, Katherine Skaggs, Lisa Torrence, Yvonne Townsend and Josh Yohman.
