Tucker powers WVU baseball team over YSU


MORGANTOWN, W.Va.

Tevin Tucker doubled, homered, scored three times and drove in four runs as West Virginia beat Youngstown State 14-1 in a non-conference game Tuesday at Monongalia County Ballpark.

The Mountaineers (13-7) scored nine runs over the first three innings including six in the second on the way to their third straight victory in the series between the two teams.

Blaze Glenn singled, doubled and stole two bases for the Penguins (1-18) and Phillip Glasser singled twice. Dylan Swarmer doubled and scored YSU’s only run on a single by Lucas Nasonti.

WVU starter Nick Snyder allowed four hits and stuck out four batters over four scoreless innings to earn his third win.
