YSU softball releases 2019 home promotion schedule

The Youngstown State softball program has several promotional days on tap for the 2019 home schedule beginning Wednesday at the Covelli Sports Complex.

All 11 home dates will have a promotional or giveaway items.

A YSU schedule-magnet is the first of the 2019 promotional giveaways at the Penguins’ home opener against Kent State Wednesday. First pitch is slated for 3 p.m.

During the first Horizon League home series against Oakland, the first 150 fans will receive a gift card from Hot Head Burrito (Friday) and the 2019 YSU Softball Team poster giveaway is slated for Saturday.

Three McDonald’s Home Run Giveaways are slated for the doubleheaders on March 26-27 and April 27. If a YSU player hits a home run in any of those games, fans will receive a gift card to McDonald’s.

Pete the Penguin Photo Day and YSU Playing Cards Giveaway Day is slated for April 12 while a YSU ruler giveaway is scheduled for April 13. The Penguins will also celebrate Senior Day on April 13.

Youngstown State will host the Special Olympics of the Mahoning Valley and giveaway YSU mousepads on April 16, and a YSU softball T-shirt will be given away to YSU students on April 17. YSU Stadium Cup giveaway is scheduled for April 26.
