Mount Union women’s track wins nine events

FREDERICKSBURG, Va.

Mount Union’s women’s track and field team won nine events at the Mary Washington Opener to start the 2019 outdoor season.

Toni Beuck was also part of a pair of wins as she won the 800 meters then combined with Sarah Mason, Elise Chojnacki and Michaelina Terranova (Jackson-Milton) to win the 4x400 meter relay.

The other wins came from Emmalee Carver in the 3,000 meter steeplechase, Katie Durisin in the 1500 meters, Quinn Crowe in the shot put, Bri Aveni in the pole vault, Sabrina Stocker in the 110 meter hurdles, Maryonna Cathey in the 400 meter hurdles and Hilary Reigle in the 5000 meters.

Mount Union will host the Stark County Challenge Friday against both Walsh and Malone at Mount Union Stadium.
