Ursuline senior advances in program

YOUNGSTOWN

Alex Stoneman, senior at Ursuline High School, has advanced to finalist standing in the National Merit Scholarship program, an academic competition for recognition and scholarships that began in 1955. High school students enter the program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, the initial screening. Stoneman is one of 15,000 seniors nationwide who will be considered for a scholarship.
