Kristine Shaffer, Michael Hunchuck plan April wedding

GIRARD

Christy and Debra Shaffer of Girard are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Kristine Shaffer, to Michael Hunchuck, both of Columbiana.

The couple will exchange vows at 2:30 p.m. April 20 at Butler North Church in Youngstown. An evening reception will take place at the Mahoning Country Club in Girard. Invitations will be issued for both events.

Mr. and Mrs. Don Cowling of Maple Heights and the late Paul Hunchuck are the prospective groom’s parents.

Miss Shaffer graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in education. She is the dean of students at South Side Academy in Youngstown.

Mr. Hunchuck is a deputy sheriff with the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office in Youngstown. He is retired from the Army National Guard.
