Miss Hunter, Mr. Hammond to wed Sept. 21

Canfield Presbyterian Church has been chosen as the setting for the Sept. 21 wedding of Emily Hunter of Cleveland and Christopher Hammond of Chicago, whose engagement is being announced by the bride-elect’s parents, Judge Scott Hunter of Boardman and Susan Ripple of Poland.

The prospective groom is a son of Paul and Monica Hammond of Canfield.

Invitations will be extended for the ceremony and for a reception to follow at The Lake Club in Poland.

Miss Hunter graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in social work. She also earned a master’s degree in social administration from Case Western Reserve University. She is a mental-health therapist at Bellefaire JCB in Cleveland.

Mr. Hammond graduated from John Carroll University with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and a master’s degree in biology from YSU. He is finishing his third year of medical school as well as clinical rotations at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago.
