BSA will host award dinner

The Whispering Pines District Great Trail Council Boy Scouts of America will host its annual district awards dinner recognizing the 2018 volunteers at 5:30 p.m. April 7 at St. James Episcopal Church, 7640 Glenwood Ave. Being celebrated also will be 27 scouts receiving the Eagle Scout award, Cub Scout Packs, BSA Troops and Venturing Crews. The theme is “Stambaugh, Another 100,” in honor of the 100th year of Camp Stambaugh in Canfield.

The recipients of the volunteer award are registered Scouters who have made an impact on the lives of youth through service given to the council.
