The Boardman library hosted its regular Night Owl event to celebrate Valentine’s Day on Feb. 14.
Youth librarian Rhonda Monroe organized the event, intended for students ages 4-5.
Monroe read Valentine’s Day themed books for the children and their families gathered.
Books included “Foxy in Love” and “The Day it Rained Hearts,” with Monroe providing props for each.
Children gathered at the event played a matching game with pieces of broken hearts.
Monroe also taught them the American Sign Language symbol for “I Love you”.
Children and their families also create a craft left by Monroe.
