St. Patrick’s Day Shenanigans, Canfield Library, 11 a.m. Saturday. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with stories, songs, science demonstrations, a craft and more. There also will be a scavenger hunt from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For children of all ages.

St. Patrick’s Day Fun, Poland Library, 11 a.m. Saturday. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with games, stories and a craft. Snacks will be provided. For children of all ages.

St. Patrick’s Day Green Party, Michael Kusalaba Library, West Side, 2 p.m., Saturday. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with crafts, games, and prizes. Don’t forget to wear green. Materials and light refreshments will be provided. Children of all ages. Children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult.

USA Dance will have a “Samba & Shenanigans Party” Sunday. The evening will feature Basics for Beginners at 5 p.m., a samba lesson by Jessica Ruff of A Time to Dance at 5:30 p.m., and open dancing from 6:15 to 9 p.m. Cost is $5 for USA Dance members, $10 for nonmembers and $2.50 for students.

A Little Live Music, Salem Public Library, 821 E. State St., Salem, 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday in the adult reading room. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with traditional Irish music played on violin and mandolin by John Whitacre. No registration is required for this free program. Call 330-332-0042 for information.

St. Patrick’s Day Fun Run & Walk, downtown Youngstown, 10 a.m. Sunday. Registration is from 8 to 9:15 a.m. inside V2, 100 W. Federal St. The same-day registration fee is $25, which includes a T-shirt and voucher for a Fun Run Passport while supplies last. Strollers are permitted, at the back of the starting line. Admission is free, but must be at least 21 years old.
