Boardman native wins medal in fencing

COLUMBUS

Boardman native Frank Zamary, son of Gary and Sherree Zamary of Boardman, won a silver medal in fencing recently at the 2019 Arnold Sports Festival.

Zamary, 29, began fencing more than 10 years ago as a teenager. Fencing is a group of three related combat sports. Winning points are made through contact with an opponent.

Zamary competed against 15 other opponents in Military Sabre. He currently trains in the Columbus area.
