Students perform with honors band

NEW WILMINGTON, PA

Three Westminster College seniors recently performed with the National Small College Intercollegiate Honors Band at Arizona State University.

In addition to being selected to perform with the band, the musicians also earned key placements. Bassoonist Maura Kardasz of Allison Park, Pa., and alto saxophonist Timothy Savage of Purcellville, Va., earned principal chairs in their sections, while trumpet player Sean Evanick of Ellwood City, Pa., was named to the first trumpet section.

Students went through a rigorous audition process for individual placements within the band.
