Boardman Park to host tree workshop

Dan Slagle, executive director of Boardman Park, will host the workshop “All About Trees” from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the St. James Meeting House in Boardman Park.

Topics will include the benefits of trees, purchasing the correct tree for the intended location and how to plant and maintain trees. Slagle has more than 40 years of experience in planting, caring for and maintaining trees.

The workshop is free, but registration is requested by calling the park office at 330-726-8105 now through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
