Mahoning Valley Dahlia Society will meet at 2 p.m. at Calvarly Baptist Church, 1463 Shields Road, Boardman. The program will include a DVD on dahlias for 2019 along with a discussion on preparation and testing of garden soil. A question-and-answer period will follow.

THURSDAY

Ridgewood Garden Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. at The Coffee Shop at Ridgewood, 5998 Market St., Boardman. The topic will be herbs for pollination, and Marilyn McKinley will be the speaker. Hostesses will be Sherri Billet and Katie Butto.

Garden Forum of the Greater Youngstown Area will have its spring general meeting, “Tiptoe Through the Tulips,” on April 13 at Fellows Riverside Gardens. The event will be hosted by Holborn Herb Growers Guild and St. Michael Garden Guild of Canfield. A.J. Pettitti will speak, and Judy Conti’s Dancing Divas will perform. Lunch will feature fattoush salad, rosemary chicken, stuffed portabella caps, rice pilaf, garlic green beans, beverage and dessert. Cost is $20 for forum members and $25 for nonmembers. The event is open to the public. All paid reservations must be mailed to the forum office by April 1. No walk-in orders or phone reservations will be accepted.
