Crestview’s Yanssens will play for Wooster

EAST FAIRFIELD

Crestview senior Andrew Yanssens will continue his football and academic career at the College of Wooster. Yanssens is third on the all-time Rebel rushing list with 3,422 yards and scored 35 touchdowns during his career. He was the first Crestview running back to rush for more than 1,000 yards in three seasons. He will major in global and international studies/economics.

GOLF

Mooney golfers make college choices

YOUNGSTOWN

Cardinal Mooney senior Keegan Butler will continue his golf and academics career at California University of Pennsylvania. Senior Hadley Spielvogel has picked Notre Dame College for her golf and academic career. A four-year letter-winner, Butler is an honor student with a 4.019 grade-point average. He plans to study golf management. Hadley also is a four-year letter-winner and will graduate with a GPA of 3.8. She plans to study biology.

TENNIS

Ursuline’s Arfaras commits to Walsh

YOUNGSTOWN

Ursuline senior Austin Arfaras has committed to play tennis and continue his education at Walsh University in North Canton. Arfaras is a four-year letterman for the Irish and will complete his high school career this spring. The high school tennis season begins on March 22.
