Broadway press agent will speak at Packard

Broadway insider Susan Schulman will give a lecture presentation at 10:30 a.m. March 20 at Packard Music Hall, as part of the Trumbull Town Hall speakers series.
Doors open at 9:30 a.m., with coffee and breakfast rolls available for purchase.
In her talk, entitled “Backstage Pass to Broadway,” Schulman will share thoughts and stories from her 40-year career as a press agent in New York for theater, dance, film, special events, TV, books and celebrities.
Her revised memoir, “Backstage Pass to Broadway,” has recently been published and will be available for purchase prior to her presentation.
The New York City native worked for many top theatrical press agents before opening her own press office in 1978.
Schulman has also worked for CBS, where she supervised the growth of 24-hour news. In 1992, she returned to her first love – the theater – and has continued to this day.
She is included in numerous Who’s Who lists and has also been an adjunct instructor at Columbia University Graduate School of the Arts.
