AUCTIONS

St. Lucy Church and St. Rosa de Lima will host a paddle auction at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Palermo Banquet Center, 394 Tenney Ave., Campbell. Doors open at 2 p.m., and cost is $10, which includes a paddle. Additional paddles will be sold for $1 each that evening. DANCES

Fraternal Order of Eagles - Aerie 2172, 26 W. Wilson Ave., Girard, will present the Roadwork Band from 8 to 11 p.m. March 16. Cost is $5 at the door, and food will be available. There also will be a 50-50 raffle and a cash bar.

FUNDRAISERS

Diva Donations will host its annual Diva Open House from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the grand opening of the Devoted Divas Boutique. Diva Donations’ mission to help young women obtain formal gowns for school dances that they would otherwise not be able to afford. Through the #KindDeedCurrency program, these women are given the opportunity to pay for the rental of a gently used dress, jewelry and shoes by donating two or more hours of their time to a local charity. The annual open house is a free event that allows the public to view merchandise and schedule appointments to shop. Local beauty vendors will be featured at special booths so that attendees can shop during the event. In addition, there will be a raffle and door prizes. All proceeds will benefit financing the #KindDeedCurrency. The store will be the home for donated gowns that do not fit into the prom segment. Some of the apparel will include vintage wear, bridal and mother of the bride. Donations of gently used gowns are always being accepted. Niles Historical Society will host its annual Spring Banquet and Fundraiser at 6 p.m. April 25 at Ciminero’s Banquet Centre, 123 N. Main St., Niles. Friends of the Columbiana Public Library will have a spring book sale from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. March 23. Bag of books for $3 begins at 4 p.m. Pre-sale will be 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. March 22. Cost is $3 per individual or $5 per family. Paperback books cost 25 cents each; hardback books are 50 cents each; and audio-visual materials cost $1 per item.

Helping Hands Closet at the Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, carries nearly new and new clothes for the entire family. March specials are each item will be $1 for winter clearance, excluding purple ticket items. Spring items are now in. Winter purses, jewelry and party and prom dresses are 50 percent off. Eintracht Maennerchor will host its fourth annual Beer and Wine Tasting from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Eintracht Singing Society, 108 Taylor Street, New Castle, Pa. The event benefits the Eintracht M §nnerchor, a men’s a capella choir that is entering its 125th year of performing and promoting German and Saxon heritage. Brookfield Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame Committee is sponsoring a trip to Rivers Casino Pittsburgh on March 30. The cost is $25 per person, which includes a $20 game voucher, $5 food voucher, and transportation. Proceeds from the trip benefit the Brookfield Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame. A chartered bus will leave Brookfield High School at 9:15 a.m. and will depart the casino at 5:30 p.m. Participants must be 21 years or older and present valid, state-issued photo identification. To reserve a spot, an RSVP slip must be filled out and returned by March 20. The slips can be found at the bottom of the trip’s flyer, which is posted on the Brookfield Local Schools’ website and Facebook page.

Friends of Fellows Riverside Gardens will host a bus trip to Cincinnati from April 11 to 13. Tour stops will include the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, Krohn Conservatory, Cincinnati Art Museum and more. Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice Senior Center, 1110 Fifth Ave., Youngstown, will host a trip to Rivers Casino Pittsburgh on March 13. The bus will leave the Senior Center at 8:30 a.m. for Youngstown Skate to meet the rest of the group at 9 a.m. (Use the side parking lot only). Bingo and raffle drawings will take place en route and there will be a $20 free slot play incentive and a $5 food coupon upon arrival. The bus will depart for home at 4 p.m. Cost is $25 for Senior Center members and $30 for guests. Payments are due at registration to reserve a seat.

Trumbull County Travel Club will sponsor a motor coach mini vacation to Holland, Mich., from May 7 to 9. Holland, located on Lake Macatawa, plants millions of blooming tulips which will greet members in this town named the “Best Small Town Festival” in the USA. Reflecting on the area’s Dutch heritage, Windmill Island is on the agenda as well as the DeKlomp Wooden Shoe & Delft Factory tour. There will be time to experience traditional Klompen, photograph the Big Red Lighthouse and sit in comfortable seats for the Volksparade. Two breakfasts and two dinners are included along with the Fiddle Fire Show and the Dazzle Dinner Theater. The Travel Club is open to any person who wishes to travel and make new friends. There are no fees to join. The club has been together since 2000 and consists of people over 21. Members meet twice a year at area sites to discuss upcoming trips. All trips leave from one site and use motor coaches, trains, air and sometimes will incorporate cruising.
