McDonald’s Bokan picks Notre Dame College

MCDONALD

McDonald High School senior Zavier Bokan, above, will continue his athletic career at Notre Dame College. Standing behind Bokan at a ceremony celebrating his college choice were, from left, Coach Matt Vukovic (coach), father Ron Bokan), sister Brooklyn Bokan and mother Lora Bokan. Bokan has been a four-year starter for the Blue Devils. He earned first-team all-Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference honors twice and was a district qualifier by himself his junior year, and our team made it to districts his senior season.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Boardman, Canfield selling advance tickets Advance tickets for the Boardman-Green boys basketball tournament game are on sale at the Boardman High School athletic office. The Division I game will be played on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Canton Civic Center. Hours for ticket sales are 9 a.m.-2 p.m. today and Wednesday, and 8 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday. Prices are $6 for adults and senior citizens and $4 for students. All tickets are the gate will cost $6. Canfield High School is selling advance tickets for Wednesday’s boys basketball tournament against Poland. The game will be played Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Boardman High School. Tickets are available at the Canfield athletic office today and Wednesday from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Prices are $6 for adults and senior citizens and $4 for students. All tickets are the gate will cost $6.
